F3R overview
F3R is the sharpest tool in the F range: an ultra-high-torque sprint compound with immediate bite, built for big-brake-kit calipers and sticky tyres. It sits above F2R and F4R in the F Series hierarchy and was originally supplied as the standard pad in AP Racing-based big-brake kits.
Instant bite, sprint focus
Where F2R rolls into its torque and F4R bites firmly, F3R arrives all at once. The first few millimetres of pedal travel produce a level of deceleration that only makes sense when the tyre can take it. Fade resistance is excellent, but the trade-off is a more aggressive relationship with the disc face.

Sprint racing, qualifying, GT and sports car racing, AP Racing big-brake kits and cars on slicks or R-compound tyres with multi-piston calipers front and rear. Mintex Racing does not publish dyno data for F3R, so contact us for application-specific advice before ordering.
Does F3R wear discs faster?
Yes. Budget for faster disc wear than you would see with F2R or F4R. It is a sprint and qualifying material rather than an endurance one.
What cars suit F3R?
Cars on slicks or soft R-compound tyres with big-brake-kit calipers, typically 6-pot front and 4-pot rear. On road tyres or OEM calipers the bite will overwhelm the available grip, so choose F2R or MRM1805 instead.
