MRM1802 overview

MRM1802 is the modern successor to M1155 and M1144 on track. It keeps the qualities that made those compounds popular, a controllable, positive pedal and a torque curve without surprises, and adds the thermal underlayer technology from Mintex Racing's current generation of materials.

Performance and construction

Average friction is 0.43μ. The thermal underlayer slows heat flow into the caliper, so the pad resists heat soak and lasts longer at track temperatures than the compounds it replaces. The formulation is copper-free.

Typical MRM1802 applications

Cars using OEM calipers on dedicated track duty, small-to-medium-weight race cars where a very high-torque pad would overwhelm the tyre, loose-surface rally, low-grip historics, lightweight single seaters, hill climbs, sprints, off road, drifting and karting.

What does MRM1802 replace?

MRM1802 replaces both M1144 and M1155 for track use. It keeps their medium torque and cold performance while adding copper-free chemistry and better heat management.

Should I choose MRM1802 or MRM1805?

Choose MRM1802 for lighter cars, road-based tyres or OEM calipers where a high-torque pad would lock the wheels. Choose MRM1805 for heavy, high-grip cars that need maximum stopping power and can put the extra torque into the tyre.
