The compound that made Mintex Racing a household name at club level: medium torque, works from stone cold, forgiving on discs.
M1144 is the pad you fit when the car has to do a bit of everything. It builds friction almost immediately from cold, so the first braking zone of the morning feels the same as the last, and its 0.45µ nominal friction is high enough to shorten stopping distances without overwhelming the tyre on a lightweight car.
It shines in disciplines where the brakes never get properly hot: hill climbs, sprints, karts and short-circuit club racing. The compound is deliberately gentle on cast-iron discs and has a soft, progressive pedal, which makes it easy to trail-brake and easy to live with for drivers stepping up from road pads.
